Fulton Community Band July 12 Concert Features Boogie Woogie, Benny Goodman

The Fulton Community Band will present its second concert of the season on July 12, 7 p.m., at the Bullhead Point Pavilion, it was announced by Carol Fox, director.

The Fulton Community Band will present it second concert of the season July 12, 7 p.m., at the Bullhead Point Pavilion, it was announced by Carol Fox, director.

Featured on this concert are several familiar pieces including “Indiana” (“Way Back Home in Indiana”), music of Benny Goodman and Henry Mancini, “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy” starring the trumpet section of the band and selections from Hollywood films as well as several marches. In honor and memory of Jack Walsh, last week the band performed ‘Irish Tune from County Derry” (better known as “Danny Boy”).  This week they will perform “The Rakes of Mallow” from Leroy Anderson’s “Irish Suite”.

The Fulton Community Dixieland Band will perform at 6:30  July 13, at the downtown Gazebo.
