The production is under the direction of Michael A. Bolio, with Dan Williams as musical director and accompanist.
The pair previously directed FCT’s 2011 cabaret edition “Enchanted Broadway.”
“An Evening on Broadway” first debuted in the spring of FCT’s 1994 season. It was revived in 1999 under the title “An Evening on Broadway II” as part of the theatre’s 10th anniversary season.
Since 2005, the cabaret series has become a staple of the theatre company, with editions appearing in nearly every season.
Each production is based around a theme, be it a composer, a time period, or even a style of Broadway music.
For the upcoming production, Bolio and Williams are working with their cast on solo, duet, and group numbers that are personal favorites or music that they have always wanted to bring to the stage.
Simply put, their own “Broadway Dreams.”
“For our 25th anniversary, we wanted to capture the idea of the dreams performers have when they step onto a stage, be it an intimate dinner theatre cabaret, or a large Broadway theatre. The connection the singer has with the music, the stage, and the audience,” FCT artistic director William Edward White said.
The evening of music will feature the singing talents of Marguerite Beebe, Molly Marie Brown, Beth DeRousie, Colleen Deitrich, Sabrina Woodward, Michael A. Bolio, Robert Kovak, Adam William Schmidtmann, Dan Williams and William Edward White.
