Fulton Family YMCA Hosts Auction Friday

On Friday, June 11, the Fulton Family YMCA will be hosting their 5th annual gala auction at the Fulton Polish Home. The theme this year is “Accentuate the Y” and area artists have decorated a variety of accent tables for the event. Many of them are on display throughout the community.

Doors open at 6:30 pm and the auction will begin at 8:00 pm. Besides the wonderfully creative pieces of furniture, there will be smaller items for silent auction, including many pieces by Sandy Clift and Floyd Kelly. There will also be raffles of themed gift baskets, including one with items made by YMCA members.

Amy Robbins of 93Q will serve as emcee for this year’s event and Dan Bachelor will be the auctioneer. Food is again by Carol Fox with sweets by Theresa Broderick and Jen Patterson. Music will be provided by Matt Vicanti and friends.

According to Elizabeth Fadden, Executive Director of the Fulton Family, “Area business and individuals have been extraordinarily generous again this year. Red Brick Pub/Dowd’s Flower Shop is a new sponsor this year and we regretfully misidentified them in a previous release. We also have partial or in-kind sponsors King’s Rubbish Removal, Studio 115 and Design Accents. This truly is a community event!”

We also have some new and returning artist. Anna Clarke, Mike Holloway, Betsy Bonnie and Ben Jarrett have returned to paint beautiful, whimsical pieces and Betty Green, Meagan Quirk, Cheri Pafumi, and Nick Toscano, have added different styles.”
