Fulton First UMC to present special holiday musical

FULTON, NY – “The Christmas Shoe Tree Musical” will be performed as part of the 5 p.m. Christmas Eve service at Fulton First United Methodist Church.

The children of the congregation will present the musical.

Donations of new and slightly used shoes will be collected through the evening of the performance.

All types and sizes of footwear will be happily accepted.

Shoes donated for the event will be directed toward Soles4Souls, a shoe charity that donates footwear to adults and children in need.

A shoe collection box is located in the narthex of the church.

Donors are asked to bind pairs together with rubber bands.

On the evening of the musical, shoe donors will be asked to bring their donations to the altar during the captivating “Walk of Love” song.

“The presentation is designed to help educate, challenge and inspire our church and community to come together in a unique and powerful way to truly make a difference, one pair of shoes and one soul at a time,” said church spokesperson.

The church, 1408 state Route 176, Fulton (Curtis Street), across from the Fulton Junior High School, is handicap accessible.
