Fulton’s 3/4 grade girls lacrosse team took the sting out of the Baldwinsville Bees Monday night for a 5-1 victory.
Fulton came out of the gates slowly, but still built a 3-1 halftime lead.
In the second half the defense tightened up behind the strong play of goalie Patrice Hudson, holding the Bees to zero goals. Scoring goals for Fulton were; Rebecca Bailey (2), Maddie Baum (2) and Keara Patterson. Megan Lupton added an assist for Fulton.
Coach Karpinko’s expectations were blown out of the water this season. With only five returning players from last year, Fulton relied heavily upon first year players. All of the girls stepped up and performed lights out all season, especially during their past six games.
The Lady Raiders outscored their final six opponents 47-7. The girls look to continue this success during the indoor lacrosse season.
