Prom season is quickly approaching, and students at G. Ray Bodley High School are gearing up for the annual prom dress sale, which provides new and gently used formal attire at an affordable price.
Dresses are donated by community members as well as formal shops like Boom Baby and Spy Baby.
According to GRB teacher Leah Simonds, all the formal wear is in mint condition, the only difference is the price.
“Many of the dresses still have tags on them,” Simonds said. “All dresses are $25 and the proceeds will be donated to charity.”
In addition to dresses, event organizers are also seeking jewelry donations for students to wear with their formal attire.
Accessories are $5.
The sale will take place after school, beginning at 2:30 p.m., April 20 and 21 at GRB.
Any student or parent looking to help with the sale or donate items may contact Simonds or Dee Meeks at 593-5400.
