GRANBY – On March 5, at approximately 9:45 p.m., State Police responded to WalMart on State Route 3 in the town of Granby, for a report of a larceny.
Asset protection members on scene advised State Police a male subject had loaded multiple items into a shopping cart and left the store without rendering payment, and provided security footage of the incident.
The man was identified as Scott E. Brien, 45, of Fulton, police said.
Brien was located today (April 7), in the town of Granby and taken into custody.
He was taken to SP Fulton where he was charged with Petit Larceny, a class “A” misdemeanor.
Brien was arraigned in the Town of Minetto Court and remanded to the Oswego County Jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail or $2,000 bond.
He is scheduled to appear in the Town of Granby Court on April 11 at 7 p.m.
