Fulton Man Charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Attempted/Forcible Touching

FULTON, NY – The Fulton Police Department today (November 15) arrested Robert J. Nelson, 37, of Cayuga Street, Fulton, for endangering the welfare of a child and attempted/forcible touching.

Endangering the Welfare of a Child is an A misdemeanor; Attempted/Forcible Touching is a B misdemeanor.

According to police, Nelson allegedly, on three separate occasions, between the months of May and October 2018 did attempt to touch the intimate parts of a 12-year-old girl.

Nelson, on at least one occasion, asked the 12-year-old to touch his intimate parts, while Nelson told the girl he wanted to have sex with her.

Nelson was arraigned in Fulton City Court by Hon. Judge David Hawthorne, where he was released his own recognizance.
