Justin Sweeting, Jacob Chernesky and Joshua Levea completed a one-week orientation at the police department before starting their police academy training on June 15 at the Mohawk Valley Police Academy in Utica.

The academy will run about six months and will be followed by an additional three months of field training at the Fulton Police Department.

It is anticipated that the new officers will be ready to hit the streets in the Spring of 2016.
