FULTON, NY – Lieutenant William Clark recently retired after 20 years of service with the city of Fulton Police Department.
Clark began his career at the Syracuse Police Academy in April of 1994.
He was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in 2004 and then to Lieutenant in 2006.
In 2006, Clark was assigned to the position of Patrol Commander where he was tasked with overseeing the day to day operations of patrol.
During his career, Lt. Clark was decorated several times including in 2001 when Clark received an honorable Service Award for his role in investigating the Diana Cooper homicide.
In 2002, Clark was named the City of Fulton’s Police Officer of the year for exemplary police work.
And in 2004, Lt. Clark received a Life Saving Award for helping to save the life of a man that was trying to hang himself.
