FULTON, NY – Fulton Pop Warner’s Pee Wee football team rolled past the Whitestown Worriers (Tri Valley) Sunday 50-0 in the NYS Quarter Finals.
Fulton (7-2) jumped out quickly after taking the opening kickoff.
On the second play from scrimmage, Jacob Ely ran around the right side for the first of four touchdowns in the first six minutes of play.
After the defense stuffed Whitestown (7-1) on four straight plays, the offense repeated its first performance.
On the second play from scrimmage, after an eight-yard Ian Bogardus run, Ely ran the same play with the same result for the second touchdown of the quarter.
The Raiders’ offensive line was a force all game driving Worriers down field and on to their backs.
The Raiders then recovered a muffed kickoff to gain possession once again.
On the first play from scrimmage, Bogardus ran off the left side for another Fulton score and breaking the spirit of the Worriers.
After another dominate series by the defense, Ely ran in the fourth touchdown in less than six minutes.
Fulton’s defense was suffocating, not allowing any first downs in the first half and causing four turnovers.
One of the turnovers came as an interception return for a touchdown late in the second quarter by Andru Walts.
The defense was just as strong in the second half allowing just one first down and forcing three more turnovers; scoring its second touchdown on a Ryan Gugula fumble recovery and return.
Gugula as well as Jaden Lee also recorded rushing touchdowns for the Raiders.
Fulton heads to Monroe, NY, this weekend to face the New City Rams from Rockland County in the semi finals at Smith Clove Park on Saturday at 6 p.m.
