CICERO, NY – Onondaga County Sheriff Kevin E. Walsh reports that detectives have arrested a man for the robbery of a town of Cicero bank.
At approximately 5 p.m. Thursday, sheriff’s detectives and Cicero police responded to a robbery reported at the Fulton Savings Bank, located at 5501 Bartel Road.
After the suspect’s bank photo was displayed on various news casts through the county sheriff’s detectives received several anonymous tips regarding the identity of the suspect.
After a lengthy investigation, detectives were able to arrest Timothy E. Okun.
At approximately 11:40 p.m., Okun was located in the parking lot of the Carousal Mall and was taken in to custody with out incident.
Sheriff’s detectives charged Okun with second-degree robbery, a class C felony; second-degree criminal use of a firearm, a class C felony; and third-degree grand larceny, a class D felony.
Okun was lodged at the Justice Center pending his arraignment in the Town of Cicero court later today (April 13).
