Fulton Supt. Reminds Residents to Vote Dec. 9 On District’s $3.85 Million Capital Projects

“On Wed., Dec. 9, we are encouraging district residents to be part of the process and vote on the capital project referendum between 9:00 a.m. and 9 p.m. at their normal school polling place, ” said William Lynch, superintendent of schools. As with school budget and Board of Education elections, voting locations are as follows:

Lanigan Elementary School is the site for registered voters who reside on the west side of the city and live in the City of Fulton.

Granby Elementary School is the site for registered voters who reside on the west side of the district (west of the Oswego River) and live outside the City of Fulton.

Fairgrieve Elementary School is the site for registered voters who reside on the east side of the city and live in the City of Fulton.

Volney Elementary School is the site for registered voters who reside on the east side of the district (east of the Oswego River) and live outside the City of Fulton.

The vote is on a resolution to bring two capital improvement projects, totaling $3.85 million, Lynch said. The projects would use state building aid and EXCEL (Expanding our Children’s Education and Learning) aid to complete a number of upgrades and repairs that were not able to be included in the current $23.7 million capital project under way right now.

Lynch said that all components of the project will need the approval of the New York State Education Dept. Details of the proposed projects are available on the district’s website  www.fulton.cnyric.org.

For information, contact board president, Robert Ireland, at 598-3919 or Lynch at 593-5510.
