FULTON, NY – This year the City of Fulton Department of Parks and Recreation is offering two summer tennis programs for youths.
The Fulton Youth Team Tennis League will start accepting registrations for players ages 13-19. Players are assigned to a team for six regular matches, a semi-final match and championships.
T- shirts are provided for all participants and award will be presented to the first and second place team members.
Match dates will be June 23, 25, 30; July 7, 9, 14, 16.
Cost is $49 per person with checks payable to the City of Fulton.
Matches will be played at Van Buren St. and G. Ray Bodley High School courts.
The Lesson Leagues will be available to players of all ages and abilities. Lesson leagues combine group lessons with competitive match play. Half of the session will introduce and/or develop a skill and the other half will utilize that skill in competitive match play.
Group sessions include racket skills, body movement and court position.
Cost is $8 per day (one-hour sessions) for 18 and under beginners and intermediates; $15 per night (two-hour sessions) of 11 and under. A new “pay as you play” policy will be in effect. Pay each day/night you participate right at the court.
There will be no lesson if it rains.
All lessons will take place at G. Ray Bodley High School’s tennis courts.
