The Fulton City School District’s Universal Pre-Kindergarten program is focused on helping students develop math and literacy skills.
That was accomplished during the recent fall 2016 UPK Family Night at the district’s education center.
UPK students and their siblings enjoyed crafts, games and a healthy snack.
Carri Waloven, FCSD Director of Literacy and UPK, said the event helped parents connect with teachers and allowed UPK students to join their peers in a setting outside of the classroom.
Students and their siblings also received a free book and parents collected information from community agencies.
Waloven said three additional family nights will occur throughout the remainder of the 2016-2017 school year.
