Fulton Woman Charged with Felony Assault After Baseball Bat Attack

FULTON, NY — On Friday, Michelle C. Capozzi, 43 of North Fifth Street in Fulton, was arrested following an investigation into a domestic dispute that occurred on November 2 between Capozzi and her boyfriend.

Police investigators allege that on November 2, at about 3:30 a.m. while at 255 W. Fifth St. in Fulton, Capozzi struck Robert Kimball in the chest with a wooden baseball bat during a physical domestic dispute.

Kimball suffered several broken ribs as a result.

He was treated, hospitalized and released from Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse.

Capozzi was charged with second-degree assault and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, both class D felonies.

At arraignment, a court order was issued directing Capozzi to have no future contact with Kimball.

Capozzi was arraigned in Fulton City Court and remanded to the Oswego Public Safety Center in lieu of $2,000 cash bail.
