Fulton Woman Charged With Making Meth

FULTON, NY – On Friday, January 22, at approximately 6 a.m., investigators with the Oswego County Drug Task Force in conjunction with the Fulton Police Department and the New York State Police Special Operations Response Team and Contaminated Crime Scene Emergency Response Team executed a methamphetamine related search warrant at 711 E. Broadway in the city of Fulton.

As a result of the search warrant execution, police said, materials and equipment used to manufacture and possess methamphetamine were seized, to include over 30 previously used “one-pot” vessels allegedly used to manufacture methamphetamine.

Investigators also seized more than three ounces of a liquid containing methamphetamine, according to police.

Monica R. Thorpe, 27, of 711 E. Broadway, Fulton, was arrested by the Drug Task Force and criminally charged as follows:

Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 2nd degree, Methamphetamine- Class A II Felony
Unlawful Manufacturing of Methamphetamine in the 3rd degree – Class D Felony

Thorpe was arraigned in Fulton City Court and remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility without bail.

She is due to reappear in Fulton City Court on January 27, at 9 a.m.

This investigation is ongoing and further arrests and charges are possible.

The Oswego County Drug Task Force is comprised of members from the Oswego County District Attorney’s Office, Oswego County Sheriff’s Department, NYS University Police at Oswego, U.S. Border Patrol, Fulton City Police Department and Oswego City Police Department.
