FULTON, NY – Fulton YMCA offers a new seven-week Members Only Holiday Group Running program, beginning on November 7 and continues every Wednesday until December 19.
This new beginner/Intermediate running program is designed to introduce participants to basic training concepts for optimal fitness and development. Runners will learn a simplistic time and effort-based training system format that is time-manageable, safe, effective, and transportable!
One weekday workout provided and one weekend all-attendance long run that will encompass all current YMCA of Greater Syracuse running program participants from the North, East, Southwest and Downtown YMCA branches.
Long run lengths indicated in logbooks, which will be provided.
Beginners must be able to jog easy for 15 minutes. Intermediate 30 minutes.

Networking with YMCA Members of similar running abilities and goals from each of the three Syracuse area YMCA’s (North, East, Downtown) and now the Fulton YMCA.
Introduction to basic training concepts for optimal fitness and development.
Detailed training plans and logs for the entire at-length program.
Twice-weekly group training.
Guidance from a former world-class runner of over 28 years’ experience whom has trained over 700 beginner and veteran CNY runners to achieve running goals from generalized fitness gains to completing road races 5K – marathons.
Whether you are looking to achieve exceptional weight-loss and fitness goals, completing your first ever 5k or half-marathon, qualifying for the Boston Marathon, or just meeting new people, we encourage you to join our new Y-running community in Fulton.
