Are you looking to keep your kids physically active for the summer? If so, here is something to include them in. The Fulton Family YMCA will be offering a Summer Track and Field Program for area youth. The program is open to grades K–12 and will take place at the Fulton G. Ray Bodley High School track.
The younger age groups will focus more on activity rather than training for specific events. While the older age groups will follow specific training that is event specific. Each child will have the opportunity to try every event offered during the program. At the end of each session there will be a Track meet for age groups K–6.
The coach for this event is Andy Baldwin. Andy is a student at Oswego State and has run track for quite a few years. He brings with him much experience. Andy runs for the Oswego State track team and is an assistant track coach for the Fulton G. Ray Bodley High School.
On June 29th, there will be a parents meeting where Andy will go over the program. There are two sessions being offered – Session 1 – July 6th – July 29th and Session 2 – Aug 3rd – Aug 26th. There is a fee of $20 per person for one session. The times are broken down as follows:
K-3 9:00am – 9:45amTuesday &Thursday
4-6 10:00am – 10:45am Tuesday & Thursday
7-8 9:00am – 10:00am Monday, Wednesday, Friday
9-1210:30am –11:30am Monday, Wednesday, Friday
