FULTON, NY – Oswego County Opportunities March for Meals campaign will receive some much needed support when McDonald’s Restaurant in Central Square hosts a fundraiser for the March for Meals campaign.

On March 28 from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m., McDonald’s Restaurant on Route 49 in Central Square will donate fifteen percent of all proceeds to OCO’s March for Meals campaign.

Administered through OCO Senior Nutrition Services and funded in part through Oswego County Office for the Aging, the Home Delivered Meal Service provides delivery of nutritious meals to Oswego County residents who are home bound. Program participants receive two nutritionally balanced meals a day up to five days a week.  The March for Meals campaign aims to raise awareness of senior hunger in Oswego County and serves as a fundraiser to support OCO Home Delivered Meal Service.

The Home Delivered Meal Service delivers nutritious meals to more than 500 seniors. Additionally, OCO Senior Services’ Dining and Activity Centers provide hot meals and companionship to hundreds of seniors, many which may not be able to afford a hot meal. OCO Senior Services Dining and Activity Centers are located in Fulton, Sandy Creek, Oswego, Mexico, Hannibal, Parish, Phoenix and Constantia.

“Our March for Meals campaign is encouraging community members to support OCO’s Home Delivered Meal Service and help us ensure that hungry seniors in our communities receive the nourishment they need,” said Bridget Dolbear, program coordinator for OCO Senor Nutrition Services. “I invite community members to bring their families and join us for dinner during our fundraiser to be held March 28 from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at McDonald’s Restaurant, Route 49 in Central Square.
