OSWEGO, NY – On Monday July 14, at 7 p.m., Oswego’s Reformed Presbyterian Church will present a community concert featuring ‘New Song.’
The public is invited and admission is free.
‘New Song’ is a music and drama group from Pennsylvania’s, Geneva College.
Through music and drama the timeless words of the gospel are conveyed in a contemporary and dynamic way.
For 36 years ‘New Song’ has traveled widely across the United States and Canada and has traveled twice to mainland China with a repertoire of rich, harmonic music and dramatic skits.
Believing in the awesome versatility and flexibility of the human voice, this nationally known vocal group can fill any size concert venue with beautiful, intricate music without ever plucking a string or beating a drum.
‘New Song’ presents that acapella style to the Psalms, which make up half of its 40+ song repertoire, they are in a unique position to make the tradition matter to people who haven’t experienced it their wholes lives.
‘New Song’ is made up of five women and four men chosen because of their musical and dramatic abilities and because of the way they can articulate and convey their faith.
Oswego Reformed Presbyterian Church is located near the Oswego Speedway at 154 City Line Road.
