George D. Miller, 68


FULTON, NY – George D. Miller, 68, of Fulton, passed away Thursday September 25, 2014.

A native of Fulton, George was a lifelong resident of the area and had owned and operated GDM Welding.

He was a life member of the Fulton Elks Club.

He was also a member of the Fulton Moose Club, Almond Rod and Gun Club.

George was an avid NASCAR fan and known for his “Magic Dust” chicken BBQs.

He was predeceased by his parents, George and Bernitta; his sister, Lois Dumas; and his brother, Paul Miller.

George will be greatly missed and forever loved by his wife of 48 years, the former Cheryl Salsbery; children, David (Lynda), Scott and Jennifer.

Poppie George will also be missed by his grandchildren, Angela, Christopher, Chelsea, Sara, Hunter, Madison, Logan and Bradley; and five great-grandchildren.

Calling hours will be 2 to 6 p.m. Wednesday with a service to follow at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay St., Fulton.

In lieu of flowers, George’s family suggests donations to Golisano Children’s Hospital, 1 Children’s Circle, Syracuse, NY 13210.

    So sorry for your loss Cheryl – I know how much your heart hurts. Please let family and friends help as you adjust to this difficult time. I am flying to Georgia on Tuesday so I will not be here for the services. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and the family.

    Cheryl and Family It is with great sorrow I found this. I hope you all know how much I liked him and his family.
