George W. LeTellier, 84, a resident of Co. Rt. 29 A, Stratford, NY, passed away, Wednesday, August 18th, 2010 in Oswego.
Born in Glen Cove, NY, he was the son of the late George and Margaret (Walker) LeTellier, he resided in Huntington Station for many years and the past 22 years he has resided in Stratford.
George was a U.S. Navy W.W.II. Veteran serving in the South Pacific in the U.S. Navy Seabees.
Mr. LeTellier was employed as a carpenter with Carpenters Local Union #7 in Long Island.
George was a member of the Moose Lodge and the American Legion.
Surviving is three daughters, Anne (Stewart) Farley of Oswego; Yvonne LeTellier of Folsom, California and Carole (Bert) Steinhardt of Ontario, Canada; one son, George LeTellier of Huntington Station, Long Island; companion of 10 years, Nancy Phillips of Stratford, NY; one sister, Flora Schierhorst of Sea Cliff, Long Island; sisters and brothers-in-law in Northern Ireland; five grandchildren, Dan Farley, Sarah Farley, Christopher Johnson, Anastasia Steinhardt and Richard Steinhardt; several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Anna Bella Managh of Co. Tyrone, Northern Ireland; brothers, Robert, Peter and Edward; sisters, Anna, Marion and Elizabeth.
Graveside services will be held 1pm, Tuesday at the Long Island National Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY.
