“I’m thrilled that Nick is making himself available to spend the week with the kids. He has an engaging personality and vivid imagination,” said Fox. “Drawing directly from the Godspell cast to making the connection from classroom games to stage and performance will offer an exciting introduction to a children’s theater program we hope to launch in early fall.”

Pike, a graduate of G. Ray Bodley High school, is a senior theatre major at SUNY Oswego who brings an extensive list of performance credits in many styles of theater from Shakespeare to musicals.

His talents as an actor, singer, and dancer will lead the children through theatre games, improvisations, and creating believable characters.

“The first week of ARTY Camp in July was a great success and we’re looking forward to more children enjoying art projects, dance and theatre classes,” Fox continued. “Art classes will allow children to explore techniques and find new ways to express their creativity. Our dance class focuses on specific dance styles and now our theatre classes will take children to another form of artistic expression while having a lot of fun.”

Arty Day Camp runs Aug. 20-24 from 9-2 p.m. and includes lunch and afternoon art projects.

Godspell runs Aug. 17-26 with performances at 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday matinees.

Tickets and reservations along with camp information and registrations can all be found online at www.CNYArtsCenter.com or by calling Fox at 216-8790.
