Gourmet Chef Up For Auction At Fundraiser

OSWEGO, NY – The Oswego Foundry is the place to be on Aug. 25 at 6 p.m.

The Oswego Players dinner theatre fundraiser and show will give attendees a chance to bid on the services of Chef Raymond Jock of La Parilla Mediterranean style restaurant for a four-course meal, prepared in their own home.

Chef Raymond has graciously offered his services to help the Players with fundraising efforts for sorely needed building upgrades.

The group celebrates 75 years of continuous operation in 2013.

Chef Raymond began his culinary journey in Orlando, studying under Wendell Thompson and Gordon Kapp, two of Florida’s top chefs.

After attending culinary school in the early 1990s, he decided to move to the restaurant capitol of the world, New York City, to pursue his passion.

It was there that he opened Nick & Toni’s Café on the upper West Side of Manhattan, with world renowned chefs, Johnathan Waxman and Daren McRonald.

After six years, Chef Raymond accepted the first of several positions as a personal chef, traveling around the country with some of NYC’s most successful and influential people such as Jerry Seinfeld, David Sandborn, Donald Marron and others.

Recently, he decided to move back to Oswego, his hometown, to pursue his longtime dream of opening his own restaurant, La Parrilla, a Mediterranean style bistro that uses all local vendors and locally produced farm products in a seasonally changing menu, where his talent and craft is well-known.

The auction package is “The Ultimate Dining Experience!” with your own personal chef.

It features a four-course gourmet meal – appetizer, salad, entrée and dessert in your own home.

This includes a server and cleanup.

The highest bidder will be able to enjoy this dinner for four on any Sunday or Monday prior to September 2013.

No alcohol will be provided.

Don’t miss this great opportunity – a gourmet chef in your own home!
