Granby Elementary Welcomes Fulton Public Library For Summer reading Kickoff

FULTON – Granby Elementary School students recently welcomed representatives from the Fulton Public Library to discuss the importance of summer reading opportunities.

Granby Library Media Specialist Allison Earl said she is always thrilled to host the public library because “any exposure to reading we can get is amazing” for the students.

Fulton Public Library Director Caroline Chatterton and children’s program coordinator Amy Nehlsen spoke to all grade levels about the library’s summer reading program, which will involve children setting and achieve personal reading goals to earn weekly prizes from July 1 to Aug. 16.

Following the theme “A Universe of Stories,” the free program will focus on space-related activities.
