FULTON, NY – State Police in Fulton report they have arrested Andrew S. Jones, 40, of 14 Melrose Ave, Apt. #5, town of Granby.
He has been charged with two felonies and six misdemeanors after a physical domestic with his 28-year-old live-in girlfriend.
Jones was charged with Unlawful imprisonment (E Felony), Criminal Obstruction of Breathing or Blood Circulation (A Misdemeanor), Assault 3rd degree (A Misdemeanor), Criminal Mischief 4th (A Misdemeanor), 3 counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child (A Misdemeanor), and Criminal Contempt of Court 1st degree (E Felony) after allegedly violating an Order of Protection previously issued to Jones by the Fulton City Judge Spencer Ludington on March 16, 2011.
Jones had been ordered to refrain from assaulting, harassing, etc. (any criminal offense) against the victim in this incident.
During the early morning hours of Wednesday, the victim in this incident was assaulted and choked by Jones within their apartment for nearly an hour, before she was finally able to get away and call for help, according to the State Police.
The victim had attempted to call 911 from her cell phone during the incident, but her phone was damaged by Jones during her call.
This domestic incident occurred with in the presence of three children, ages 2, 4 and 15.
Jones was arraigned before Town Justice Winkworth in the Town of Granby Court and remanded to the Oswego County Jail on $10,000 cash/$20,000 bond.
