Greater Oswego-Fulton Chamber of Commerce Thanks Members For Support

As the end of the year is upon us, it has brought with it new and exciting changes at the Greater Oswego-Fulton Chamber of Commerce.

On December 3, we hosted the Year End Business Social at the American Foundry.

This event is a time for all chamber members to gather together and enjoy some holiday cheer.

More than 160 people walked through the door and were greeted by an entirely new staff.

The outpouring of support made everyone feel welcomed and brought a heightened level of excitement to the night.

As the night continued we were lucky enough to have four speakers present us with an update on the progress of what they have done in the community to improve their business and what we can expect to see from them in the future.

Thank you to Michael Treadwell of Operation Oswego County, John Sharkey IV of Universal Metal Works, Ann Gilpin of Oswego Health and Chris Smith of Novelis.

Their presentations gave everyone an insight into the work they are doing every day to make our community a better place to live.

The partnerships that are being built and the collaborations with businesses and government officials gave hope to many that more job opportunities will soon become available.

As businesses expand, it will help bring families to Oswego County to call our community their home.

The entire night was filled with excitement and positive energy.

The event could not have been such a success without the generosity of our sponsors.

Thank you to our event sponsors: Community Bank, Eastern Shore Associates, Exelon Generation, Fulton Savings Bank, NBT Bank, Novelis, Operation Oswego County, Oswego Health, SUNY Oswego Business and Community Relations and Pathfinder Bank.

Speaker sponsors: Entergy Nuclear, Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 73, Universal Metal Works.

Table sponsors:  Ameriprise Financial, Amdursky, Pelky, Fennel and Wallen P.C., KBM Management, Mitchell Speedway Press and The Richard S. Shineman Foundation.

Thank you to the American Foundry. Once again, the food was delicious, the staff was extremely helpful, the decorations were beautiful and you made our night special.

A big thank you goes out to our dedicated and hardworking board of directors.

The amount of support they have shown to the organization proves how committed they are make the chamber a success.

Last but not least, thank you to all the chamber members who attended.

Thank you for all the encouragement you have given us.  We are excited for what is ahead of us and we look forward to working with all of you in the future.

We hope everyone has a very happy holiday and please do not hesitate to stop in or give us a call.
