In an effort to bolster family and community involvement in the Hannibal Central School District, a Family Field Day will be held May 30.
The first-of-its-kind event will take place from noon to 3 p.m. at the Hannibal High School baseball field.
In case of rain, activities will be held inside the school.
According to event organizer Kate Babbitt, Family Field Day was developed to align with the goals of the district’s strategic plan.
The event is part of the family and community engagement piece outlined in the plan, which aims to create an environment in which the entire community is involved in a child’s education.
With that goal in mind, several community organizations will be on hand to provide information and answer questions about their services.
The Hannibal Sports Booster Club will be available as well.
“We will also have several fun outdoor activities along with Shannon’s Hot Dog Truck selling food,” Babbitt said. “It will be a day full of family fun!”
