Hannibal XC travels to McQuaid

The Hannibal X-C teams traveled to Rochester on Saturday to compete the 48th Annual McQuaid Invitational.

The McQuaid Invitational is one of the largest scholastic meets in the USA. National Federation sanction has been requested for schools from 18 states and two Canadian provinces.

The 2012 McQuaid Invitational consisted of 26 races, 246 teams, and over 7500 runners!

Varsity girls placed 6th place out of 24 teams. 7th grader McKenzie Mattison came in 6th place overall with a time of 19:26 out of a field of 217.

Varsity boys placed 6th place out of 28 teams, 19 points out of 3rd place. The field had 6 of the top 9 teams in NYS with 3rd and 4th place finishes going to top teams from Pennsylvania. Senior Ryan Perry came in first for Hannibal and 15th place overall with a time of 15:51.

McFarland Wins McQuaid
9th grader Jason McFarland led the JV team to a 6th place finish in the Boys Varsity B race. McFarland posted a personal best time of 17:14 and came in 1st overall out of a field of 294 runners!
