Cast of “Kilroy Was Here” hard at work rehearsing for its upcoming Harborfest performances.

The funds will be used to help cover costs for the purchase of music, scripts and set materials.

Harborfest will present the ninth annual musical production in West Park on July 29 at 4 p.m., July 30 at 11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. and on July 31 at 11 a.m.

The 2016 production is “Kilroy Was Here” by Tim Kelly and Bill Francoeur, Pioneer Drama Services.

It is the story of a young G.I., Joe Kilroy, whose cartoon drawings help rout enemy spies who have infiltrated the USO club.

The music and dance is straight out of the 1940s featuring jitterbug and swing.

It is an uplifting tale of American courage and determination.

Co-directors, Rocky Farden and Bobbie Palange, said, the Youth Bureau has provided funds for our production every year. The performers and we are so grateful for their continuing support.
