OSWEGO, NY – Oswego Harborfest is set for late July, but the efforts to raise funds for one of the largest admission free festivals in the nation continues on February 7.

Proving you can have fun while fundraising planning is under way for the annual chicken barbeque.
In conjunction with “Warm Up Oswego” festivities, Gibby Thompson, owner of Gibby’s Irish Pub on Lake Street, has volunteered his cooking expertise and business to play host to the event.
Chicken, salt potatoes and corn will be on the menu for the afternoon.
Harborfest Executive Director Doug Buske said, “Gibby has been a tremendous supporter of Harborfest and has been involved with us for years. His barbeques are well-known and always of high quality. Our annual barbeque is a great opportunity to get together, enjoy good company, have a good time and get the Harborfest excitement rolling.”
Chicken will be available from noon to 3 p.m. and tickets are $8 presale and $10 the day of the event.
Pre-sale tickets are available until January 30 by calling Harborfest at 343-6858 or Gibby’s at 207-1083.
Tickets are also available at the Harborfest Offices at the McCrobie Building (41 Lake St.) and Gibby’s Irish Pub at the corner of West Second and Lake streets.
