Harold F. Tracey, 80, a resident of Oswego, and a former resident of Pinellas Park in Florida, died Friday, at the Oswego Hospital.
He was born in Oswego, the son of the late James and Anna (McNearney) Tracey.
Mr. Tracey was a professional US Army soldier. He was the recipient of numerous awards and decorations, including the Bronze Star with Oak Leaf Cluster, Air Medal, Soldiers Medal and others.
He was a Christian, and a member of the Veteran of Foreign Wars, and the American Legion.
He was the husband of the late Ruth M. Tracey, who died in 2010.
He is survived by two sons, John Tracey of St. Petersburg, FL, and Wayne (Eleanore) Tracey of Lutz, FL; a sister, Eleanor Bullard of Oswego; a brother, Howard Tracy of Oswego; and 3 grandchildren, Jasmine, Jonathan, and Christopher.
He was predeceased by a grandson, Sean Paul Tracey, who died in 2006.
Graveside services, with military honors, will be held at a time to be announced at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
There will be no local services or calling hours.
