Harold R. ‘Skee’ Woods, 92

OSWEGO, NY – Harold R. “Skee” Woods, 92 of Oswego passed away Wednesday January 4, 2017, at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Syracuse.

He was born in Minetto and was the son of the late Henry and Anna Miller Woods.

Mr. Woods had been employed as a foreman at the Breneman Shade Cloth Factory in Oswego.

He served in the US Army/Airforce during the Korean War.

Mr. Woods was a member of the VFW Post 2320 and the American Legion Post 268, both in Oswego.

He enjoyed playing cribbage and was an avid Yankee fan.

He is survived by one daughter, Elizabeth Ann Woods of Oswego; his ex-wife, caregiver and friend, Veronica Woods of Oswego; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Woods was predeceased by all seven of his siblings, Ruth Potter, Betty Dopp, Jack Woods, Donald “Joe” Woods, James Woods, Margaret “Jane” Sharkey and Catherine “Kate” Chillson.

Calling hours will be 4-7 p.m. Monday January 9, at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home with a service to follow at 7 p.m.

Spring burial will be in Rural Cemetery.
