OSWEGO — Beauty will meet Baroque in “The Art of the Harpsichord” as a trio of musicians entertains on Wednesday, Feb. 23, in a Ke-Nekt Chamber Music Series concert at SUNY Oswego.
Harpsichordist Robert Kerner of Rochester will perform with SUNY Oswego oboist Aaron Reece and Syracuse-based flutist Kelly Covert at 7:30 p.m. in the Campus Center auditorium. A preconcert talk will take place at 7.
Kerner combines technical virtuosity and exhilarating musicality with masterful attention to detail and representative period performance practice. The concert will feature Baroque masterpieces by Johann Sebastian Bach, George Frideric Handel, Francois Couperin and Jacques DuPhly.
Julie Pretzat, associate dean of the college’s School of Communication, Media and the Arts will host the concert, a presentation of the SUNY Oswego music department and Artswego.
