OSWEGO, NY – Harry J. “Skip” Hare III, 57, a resident of Fulton, was called home to be with the Lord on July 25, 2012.
Born in Oswego, he was the son of Harry and Shirley (Kingsbury) Hare Jr. of Oswego.
Harry was discharged as a sergeant of the U.S. Army and served from 1974-77.
He worked for many years as a fitter for Black Clawson in Fulton.
He was an avid fisherman, hunter and camper and enjoyed playing guitar.
He was a member of the Oswego Alliance Church.
Harry was a kind and generous man and a jack-of-all-trades, who was willing to help anyone.
Surviving, besides his parents, are his beloved wife, Elaine (King) Hare; two daughters, Stephanie (Nicholas) Wexler of Fulton and Karilyn (Joseph) Hotchkiss of Fulton; one son, Jeremiah (Raquel) Hare of Texas; one brother, Daniel (Mary Jo) Hare of Oswego; three sisters, Cynthia (David) Fresch of Oswego, Ruth (Wade) Kline of Oneida and Kathleen Dubois of Oneida; eight beloved grandchildren, Connor, Tristan and Duncan Wexler, Avalon, Elliana and Caedmon Hotchkiss, and Samuel and Audriana Hare; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at Oswego Alliance Church.
Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held 4-7 p.m. Friday at Nelson Funeral Home, 11 W. Albany St., Oswego.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Oswego Alliance Church.
