Oswego – Harry Paul Haines Jr., 57, a resident of Waterview Road in the Town of Oswego, passed away Monday morning July 16, 2012, at Oswego Hospital.
Mr. Haines was born in Oswego, and was a life resident of the area.
He was very involved with the Oswego Community Garden and he loved to hunt and fish.
He was an accomplished archer, especially in the traditional longbow.
He won many archery awards at various competitions over the years.
He is survived by his mother, Myrtle (Johnson) Haines of Scriba; a sister, Ginnie Vazquez of Scriba; a brother, Craig Haines of Scriba; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his father, Harry Haines Sr, who died in 2003; and a brother, Billy Joe Haines, who died in 2009.
Services will be private.
Calling hours will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home, 112 E. Second St., Oswego.
