HANNIBAL, NY – Harvey O. Beck, 74, of Oswego, passed away at home surrounded by his family on Saturday December 15, 2012.
He was born in Temvik, North Dakota, a son to the late, Edwin and Christine Beck.
Harvey graduated from Linton High School in 1955 and enlisted in the U.S. Army.
He was an electrician with the Nestle Company for 44 years, retiring in 2002.
Harvey was a member of the AMVETS and the Fulton Moose Lodge.
He was always willing to help someone in need.
In addition to his parents, Harvey was predeceased by an infant brother, Raymond; and by a sister, Corrine Wilcox.
He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Carol Pritchard Beck of Oswego; a son, Ronald Gilman of Oswego; a daughter, Clue Gilman of Oswego; four sisters, Phyllis Ehrmann of Bismark, ND, Frances Bateman of Kingman, Ariz., Wilma (Kenneth) Ware of Fulton and Kathy (Jim) Rhodes of Prescott, Ariz.; two brothers, Lester (Belva) Beck of Fulton and Milton (Beverly) Beck of Phoenix; a grandson, Daniel Mullins; several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday with services to follow at Foster Funeral Home, 837 Cayuga St., Hannibal.
