The spooky season brings eerie events and frightful fun to Oswego County!

On Friday, Sept. 26, come to Mexico Point State Park just off state Route 104B in Mexico for Ghost Hunting 101. From 7 to 9 p.m., learn how to detect ghosts with Anne Borick. Admission is a $5 donation.

Call now to reserve your space on a Candle Light Ghost Tour at the Fort Ontario State Historic Site on East Fourth Street in Oswego. The tours are scheduled between 7 and 9 p.m. from Thursday, Oct. 23 through Saturday, Oct. 25. Co-sponsored by Friends of Fort Ontario, the walk features costumed interpretation, special effects, refreshments and more. Admission is $8 and advance ticket purchase is required.

On Saturday, Oct. 25, visit the historic Bernhards Bay Country Store on state Route 49 for ghost stories. From 7 to 8 p.m., listen to haunted tales or join in and tell your own. Halloween refreshments will be available. Admission is free and pre-registration is required.
