Healthy Aging Presentation Set At Bishop’s Commons


OSWEGO, NY – The community is invited to attend an educational program to learn about what is considered normal physical and psychological changes that we might all expect to experience as we age, and what is not.

The Healthy Aging program, with Dr. Renante Ignacio, will be held at Bishop’s Commons Enriched Housing Residence, 4 Burkle St., on October 27 beginning at 3 p.m.

The event is free of charge and refreshments will be provided.

Dr. Ignacio will talk about strategies and lifestyle choices we all can practice to achieve and  maintain health as we grow older, and some of the resources in our own community to help us address any adverse effects of aging in a loved one or ourselves.

A question and answer session will be a part of the program.

Dr. Ignacio is board certified in Internal Medicine, Geriatric Medicine and Hospice and Palliative Medicine. He currently serves as Medical Director at Michaud Residential Health Service, St. Luke Health Services and St. Francis Commons Assisted Living Residence.

He is the president and CEO of Geriatric & Palliative Specialist, PC.

He remains active at national, state and local professional health care organizations to promote and foster optimal geriatric care.
