Heather Lynn Kanaley, 24, died Thursday, November 18, after a courageous, lifelong battle with cystic fibrosis.
Born March 14, 1986, she attended Oswego schools. Heather was admired for her ability to face challenges with determination and grace. An angel to many on this earth, she is now God’s.
Heather was a devoted mother to the light of her life, her son, Riley James. The daughter of Susan Thompson of Kansas (formerly of Oswego), she is also survived by her fiancé, Ronald Visconti of Oswego; maternal grandparents, Thomas and Josephine Thompson of Oswego; paternal grandparents, Joseph and Regan Kanaley of Mexico; aunts and uncles including Thomas Thompson, William (Tammie) Thompson, Scott (Dawn) Thompson, Karen (Emery) Fenske, Shannon (Randal) Gilliland, Allison (Bradley) Trudell, and Elizabeth (Paul) Cousins, and many cousins and friends who adored her. Also survived by her father, Albert Kanaley of Glens Falls.
Funeral Services will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 24 at St. Mary’s Church, 103 West Seventh St. Oswego.
Calling hours will be held 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, at Nelson Funeral Home, 11 West Albany St. Oswego.
