Helen I. Williams, 88, resident of Syracuse Home Association, Baldwinsville, died on Monday, February 21, 2011.
Born in Volney to her late parents, Ervin and Belle (Brown) Burton on Nov. 29, 1922. She was a graduate of Fulton High School, class of 1942. Married to Asa in 1948, she became a fine homemaker raising her family.
Pre-dececeased by her brother Arthur, and her two sisters, Lois and June. Helen was a member of the Phoenix Senior Citizens;.
Surviving are her loving husband of 63 years, Asa Adam Williams, Sr.; of Baldwinsville; one son, Asa Adam (“Pat”) Williams, Jr. of North Syracuse; two daughters, Eloise B.(“Bill”) Weston of Syracuse, and Cathy L. (“Bob”) DeJohn of Syracuse; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins.
Calling hours are on Wednesday from 3 to 7 pm at the Allanson-Glanville-Tappan Funeral Home, 431 Main St., Phoenix, NY. Services are on Thursday at 11 am in the funeral home with The Rev. Richard H. Scheffler officiating. Spring burial in Chase Cemetery, 9450 State Rt. 48, Phoenix, NY 13135. Helen’s family extends their sincere appreciation to the entire staff of the Syracuse Home Association for the wonderful care provided their mother during her residence.
