FULTON, NY – Sophie Greene as Helen and Peter Mahan as Captain Keller in the compelling story of a deaf/blind child take center stage in this fresh adaptation of the classic story of Helen Keller and her teacher Anne Sullivan.
In CNY Arts Center’s next mainstage production, fierce determination in the face of Helen’s wild tantrums is the story of triumph as she fights to break through a wall of frustrating limitations.
Helen Keller previews April 25 at 8 p.m. with a pay-what-you-can final dress rehearsal, then opens April 26 at 8 p.m.
The show continues April 27 at 8 p.m. and April 28 at 2 p.m.
The second weekend starts May 3 at 8 p.m. followed by the Fulton Lions Club sponsored performance night May 4 at 8 p.m.
Helen Keller closes May 5 with a 2 p.m. matinee.
The Arts Center. located in the State Street Methodist Church at 357 State St., is presenting the new adaptation of the old classic as part of its debut season.
