OSWEGO – Community members recently donated more than 240 bicycle helmets and money for additional helmet purchases in lieu of flowers to honor the late Billie Crandall Brady.
Brady served as program coordinator of Integrated Community Planning’s Traffic Safety Board for more than 13 years.
The brainchild of Theresa A. Sugar Scanlon (Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home), the helmets will be distributed to Oswego County children through traffic safety outreach and events in the coming months.
Donations to “Helmets from Heaven” will continue to be accepted at the ICP offices located at 317 W. First St., Suite 111, Oswego, NY.
