FULTON, NY – Theresa Robinson, constituent services representative from Congressman John Katko’s office, presented Oswego County Opportunities Executive Director Diane Cooper-Currier with a flag that had previously flown above the United States Capitol in Washington, D.C.
Congressman Katko sent the flag in recognition of OCO’s 50th Anniversary.
“I’m honored to recognize the 50th Anniversary of Oswego County Opportunities and to commemorate all of the great work that OCO does for Oswego County,” said Katko. “For 50 years, this organization has worked to fight generational poverty and to provide support, education, and services for those in our community who need it most. I’ll continue to be a strong supporter of this excellent organization and its efforts to make Central New York a more healthy and economically stable community.”
Fifty and Fabulous, OCO has been fighting poverty in its many forms since 1966.
OCO offers more than 50 human service programs that serve more than 24,000 people each year.
Operating in more than 80 locations throughout Oswego County, OCO’s workforce has more than 550 employees and 1,200 volunteers.
