History Friends Plan For 20th Annual Parade of Trees


FULTON, NY – The Friends of History In Fulton, N.Y., Inc., will host its 20th annual Parade of Trees contest at the Pratt House Museum, 177 So. First St., Fulton, from Dec. 1 – 12.

All area clubs, organizations, youth and children’s groups are invited to participate by decorating a theme tree for display at the Pratt House.

Visitors will cast their ballots for their favorite trees in three categories: Adult (over 18), Youth (5th-12th grades), and Children (pre-K-4th grade).  The trees with the most votes in each category will win prizes of $100.00 (first prize), $75.00 (second prize), and $50.00 (third prize).  Trees will be decorated at the Pratt House on Friday, November 21 from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

The entire community is urged to view the trees and vote for your favorites.  The festive display will be on view Monday through Friday, December 1 – 12 from 9-3 and Saturday, December 6 from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.  The Annual Holiday Open House will be held on Sunday, December 7 from 2 to 4 p.m with musical entertainment from the Canfield family.  Voting will end on Friday, December 12 and awards presented on Wednesday, December 17.
