Humane Society’s annual ‘Chasing and Fetching Balls’ Tournament Set July 22

OSWEGO, NY – The Oswego County Humane Society will hold its 13th annual “Chasing and Fetching Balls (aka Golf) Tournament on July 22 with a tee-off at 1 p.m. at the Beaver Meadows Golf Club in Phoenix.

The event, in captain and crew format, includes 18 holes of golf with a cart, lunch at the snack bar at noon, beverages on the course, and a buffet chicken dinner.

There will also be  a skins game, a $10,000 hole in one prize, prizes for first place teams, raffles and a silent and live auction.

The cost per player is $110.

“The tournament is a lot of fun. We get good golfers, not so good golfers, and then people like me who just come to have fun,” said Donna Kuhn, president of the Humane Society. “So we hope that lots of people join in the fun in our 13th year of this tournament. Plus, seriously, we really need the revenue that the tournament generates to fund our programs.”
