Hundreds of Cookies Bound for Soldiers

OSWEGO, NY – First grade classes at Minetto Elementary School have been working on
a service project to send homemade cookies to troops in Afghanistan.

The cookies, baked by families and staff, arrived at the school on Wednesday.

Students have made pictures to wrap around Pringles cans for the cookies to be shipped in.

The entire Minetto family has helped by collecting cans, baking cookies and donating money for shipping.

Proudly displaying some of the baked goods are Kyra Miller, Adison Zagame, Suubi Kyobe, Ariel Baldwin, Braedan Proud and Jack Del Conte.

First grade teachers Doreen Bednarski, Karen Poole, Barb Buske and Pamela Delfino coordinated the effort.
