OSWEGO – Inspirational gospel singer Sherry Anne will sing and share the story of her journey as a child with a bilateral hearing and speech impairment to a singer with an authentic and powerful voice to United Baptist Church at 5111 State Route 104 East in a 7 p.m. concert on August 11.
The public is welcome.
Sherry Anne, born with a bilateral hearing and speech impairment, sings with an authentic and powerful voice that perfectly blends a passion for Southern-style, R and B, country, and blues music with her deep faith.
She is a Singing News Fan Awards Top Ten Favorite New Artist nominee for 2016.
Sherry Anne has recorded contemporary and Southern gospel CDs, produced by Academy of Country Music Award winner Gordon Mote, Gaither Homecoming Friend Woody Wright, Southern Gospel Hall of Famer Nick Bruno, and Tony Griffith of The Griffith Family of Nashville, Tenn.
CDs will be available for purchase at the August 11 concert.
A freewill offering will be invited.
As a songwriter, Sherry Anne’s song titled I Only Know to Pray, about the dangers of the internet for young people, debuted on the Nashville Country Revival television show.
This spring, her radio single To Be Forgiven made the National Top 80 Southern Gospel Chart published by The Singing News.
