Police hope to use a helicopter today today continue the search for a missing Fulton man.

Ray Gregory, 46, crashed his car after leaving Lighthouse Lanes in Oswego early Saturday morning.  His car was found on County Route 53 in Scriba, near the intersection with County Route 4.  Police believe he walked away from the crash.

Sunday, three search and rescue teams combed the area near the crash scene for any trace of Gregory.  Oswego County Undersheriff Gene Sullivan said the search teams found nothing.

Sullivan said the department has asked the New York State Police to provide its helicopter for a search by air.  Gregory’s family and friends have spread information about Gregory on Facebook in hopes of reaching more people.

“Our concern all along has been for his well-being, not for any criminal activity,” Sullivan said.

He said Gregory suffered an injury in the crash, but said that privacy laws prevent him from saying how severe the injury might have been.

Sullivan asked people in the general area of the crash to check outbuildings on their property such as garages, sheds and campers and to call the department with any tips.
